250th Float

The Amherst 250th Celebrations Float was designed by Susan Roberts, built by several workers who are part of The Roberts Group of Companies and manned by local celebrities.  The theme Susan chose is "The Book and The Plow", taken from the Amherst town seal.  Our thanks to Susan and all who were involved in the building of the float and to "riders" Nate Manwell (a Dickinson descendant), Daniel Brewer, and Jada Glasgow (both Mark's Meadow students), Phyllis Lehrer of Sunset Farm and the Amherst Bulletin and drivers Patrick Gromely and Mark Woynar.

In addition to participation in the Hadley 350th Parade the float can be seen in the Amherst 4th of July parade and of course the upcoming September 27 Amherst 250th Parade.
